29 days/29 classes! Woot! 1 day to go to complete my gaziollinth (okay, so I exaggerate) 30 day challenge and 2 days until this 31 day challenge is completed.
Today’s instructor was IT. IT started the class a little rough, stating she didn’t know many of us and she would try to learn our names. Then she busted out in the middle of class, to me, “you look really familiar”. Well, yes, I should. She does know me…
IEC was next to me in class on one side. I almost didn’t recognize her at first.
On the other side of me was someone who basically could have just laid old Chinese food on her mat and then sprayed a perfume that had eau de skunk in it over the food. And that’s all I am gonna say about that!
IEC made me look weak! Ha ha! But, then, ideally, you want your instructors to be better than you, right? So you know you are learning from the best!
Strong class for me, minus the toe parts. I did skip the second half of the pose before Tree again, just to gather strength for Tree and Toe Stand (on my right side). It’s been a good plan.
I had mentioned early on during this challenge that my balance was off. I have regained it. During the one leg balancing postures I am more solid and back to normal, not so wobbly.
In Locust, my arms, which would hurt so bad I would want to cry when I first started out this time, are now fine. I am also able to lift both legs higher than I ever had before.
I have seen during this challenge a lot of postures during the floor series really get better. My flexibility is also increasing due to the fact I have been going to class every day and I haven’t been running. Running shortens my muscles making flexibility more difficult.
It’s been a really, really good challenge this go round. I have certainly grown in my practice and in my mind.
The postures are complete. I am working on compiling them together in a separate post.
