Creative Writing Day #7 – A Pet Who is Loved

a pet who is loved

I awake in my own bed.  She looks at me and pats my head.  She leans in and gives me a kiss between my eyes.  She whispers my name.

She says it is time to get up.

I roll onto my back and she obliges me by rubbing my belly.  I smile, big and wide.

She stands up and heads downstairs.  I follow her.

I sit at the door as she puts my leash on.  I wag my tail.  We head outside and I sniff around a bit.  I relieve myself and we head back in.

I follow her to the treat stash.  I hope I get my favorite!  I hope I get my favorite!

I get a treat.  It’s good, but not my favorite.

It’s time for a ride in the car.  I lay down and enjoy the wind from the windows.

When we get back, she hooks me up to my leash and walks me around.  I get to sniff, roll in the grass, eat grass, run and play.  I love this time with her.  I wag my tail because I am so happy.

When we get back, I get another treat. Yummy!  Yummy!  Yummy!

She settles in with that black thing on her lap and stares at it for most of the day.  I snuggle up next to her and she pats my head or rubs me.  I like to rub my nose on her arm.  Sometimes we hold hands.

After a while, I head up to her bed and I snuggle into her spot.  I lay my head on her pillow.  She never yells at me for laying here, but occasionally, when she comes up to bed, she makes me move.

I have lots of food, water, toys, treats, walks and attention.  I bring her one of those toys and she tugs it from my mouth.  She tosses it and I go get it and bring it back to her.

I look at her like I am the luckiest dog in the world.  I am so lucky to have her.  She takes such good care of me.

I love her.

She loves me.
